Flags Before Deviating
Builds what the Brief says. Flags what it can't.

Inherits the Codebase
Delivers the raw material. Owns the result.
Prototype
Between design and build: a working prototype. Ricky builds from something that moves : not just screens. Interaction intent lives in code. Not in annotations.
4-Week Timeline
01
Week One
Direction
Samantha delivers : 5–10 references, content inventory, existing brand assets
Jona produces : visual direction deck, moodboard alignment
Ricky briefed : tech stack confirmed, guardrails agreed
↳ Samantha: references + content by Day 2
References don't just set a direction : they reveal what matters to Samantha. The content inventory shapes the architecture before a single frame is drawn.
+ context
02
Week Two
Design
Jona builds : Figma frames, all core pages + states, annotated
Prototype begins : working draft, interaction logic roughed out
Round 1 review : Samantha gives direction feedback
↳ Direction locked end of Week 2. No structural changes after.
The prototype answers what frames can't: how does it move, what does it feel like to scroll through? Direction locks here. Not after.
+ context
03
Week Three
Build
Jona delivers : Build Brief: component logic, design tokens, interaction intent
Handoff session : live walkthrough with Ricky before any code is written
Ricky builds : component by component, from Brief + prototype
↳ Ricky flags deviation before implementing, not after
The handoff session is where assumptions get killed. Every component built against the Brief : not against assumptions about it.

04
Week Four
Launch
Refinement pass : one round of adjustments on the live build
Final QA : responsive check, edge cases, clean code audit
Samantha approves : final sign-off before live
↳ Site live. Samantha inherits clean, documented codebase.
One refinement pass. The work either stands on its own or it doesn't. That's the standard.

Ricky's Guardrails
01
Build Brief first. No code before the handoff session.
02
Component by component. One reviewed before the next begins.
03
Flag before you fix. The Brief is the Brief.
04
Design system is locked. Tokens don't move without sign-off.
05
Code is Samantha's. Documented. Nothing she can't own.
From Samantha.

Visual references : 5–10 films, sites, artworks, anything that feels right
Content inventory : all projects, series, and materials to be archived
Brand assets : logos, typefaces, colour, if applicable
End of Week 2
Direction feedback : Round 1 approval or adjustments before direction locks
End of Week 4
